Facilitating with LEGO® Six Bricks

This one-day in-person learning session has been designed to introduce facilitators, trainers & educators to LEGO® Six Bricks. Whether you're looking to energise your workshops, build stronger team interactions, or make learning more engaging, Six Bricks offers a practical and versatile facilitation approach that you can apply immediately. As part of the programme, you will also have the opportunity to develop your own Six Bricks activities.

Six Bricks was developed as a tool for hands-on learning by Care for Education South Africa in partnership with the LEGO® Foundation. It is a set of six brightly coloured LEGO® DUPLO® bricks to be used in short, fun activities. Through structured play, you will learn how to naturally spark creative problem-solving, collaboration, and cognitive flexibility in any audience. This interactive session sets you on the path of a certified practitioner equipped to facilitate high-impact activities with Six Bricks.

Level 1 is an introduction to shorter Six Brick activities, while Level 2 builds upon Level 1 with longer, more strategic, and highly collaborative team-building endeavours.

Throughout this experiential programme, you'll participate in a wide range of Six Bricks activities before learning how to facilitate them. By experiencing each activity as a participant first, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how to create meaningful playful learning experiences.

As the session is highly hands-on and interactive, the group size will be kept small. There will be plenty of opportunities for participants to exchange ideas as well as get input from the facilitator.

The session will be led by a Care for Education approved facilitator who is authorised to issue Six Bricks certification to adults. Upon successful completion, participants will receive Six Bricks Level 1 & 2 Certification.

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:

Understand how Six Bricks activities help to develop executive and developmental functions
Facilitate Six Bricks activities that support learning through play
Develop their own Six Bricks activities to further playful learning
